The free tier includes 1 project with the 10 most recent published entries visible on your public page (older entries are stored but hidden — they reappear if you upgrade), and 10 AI generations per month. No credit card required. When you reach 10 generations, AI writing pauses until your next monthly reset. Upgrade to Pro at any time to continue.
What does Pro include?
Pro costs $29/month and gives you unlimited projects, unlimited entries, 500 AI generations per month, custom domain support, and email subscriber notifications. Unlike Beamer and Headway, pricing is flat — you pay the same whether you have 100 users or 100,000. When you reach 500 generations, AI writing pauses until your next billing cycle. Cancel anytime from account settings.
What is the Founders Deal?
The Founders Deal is a one-time payment of $299 that gives you everything in Pro — unlimited projects, unlimited entries, 500 AI generations/month, custom domain, and email notifications — locked in forever. No recurring charges, no annual renewals. This pricing is available during early access only and will go away once we exit early access. Pay once and you’re covered for life.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro subscriptions can be canceled anytime from your account settings. If you purchased the Founders Deal, there’s nothing to cancel — it never expires.
Do you offer refunds?
Pro subscriptions can be canceled anytime and you keep access until the end of your billing period — no partial refunds needed. For the Founders Deal, if you’re not satisfied within 14 days of purchase, contact us at hello@changelog-ai.com for a full refund. No questions asked.
What’s the difference between Changelog AI and Beamer or Headway?
The biggest difference is pricing. Beamer and Headway charge based on monthly active users (MAU) — your bill grows as your product grows, even if you’re not using more features. Changelog AI uses flat pricing: $29/month or $299 once, regardless of user count. The second difference is AI: Changelog AI uses Claude to write your entries from bullet points. Can I use a custom domain?
Yes. Pro and Lifetime plans support custom domains for your public changelog page. Point your subdomain (e.g., changelog.yourapp.com) to Changelog AI and your visitors see a branded experience.
How do email notifications work?
Visitors can subscribe on your public changelog page. When you publish a new entry, all confirmed subscribers receive an email notification automatically. You don’t need to manage any email infrastructure.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export all of your changelog entries as JSON or CSV from the project dashboard. Your data is always yours.
Technical
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS and stored in PostgreSQL with ownership-scoped access controls. Your changelog content is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate your entries — it is never used to train AI models and never shared beyond that processing step. All other data is kept private.
What browsers are supported?
Changelog AI works in all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. The embeddable widget is compatible with any website regardless of what framework it uses.
Can I migrate from Beamer or other changelog tools?
